You will be met at Victoria Falls airport, the transfer company will be waiting in arrivals with your name on a sign and they will transfer you to Ilala Lodge.
There are many activities available in Victoria Falls and we are happy to provide details and book these for you. We recommend a helicopter flight over the falls, sunset cruise and canopy tour.
Ilala is centrally located so you are able to walk to most places, it is the closest property to the falls themselves about a 10-15 minute walk. You do not need a guide to see the falls themselves as the paths are clear and well signposted but we are happy to arrange one for you.
Victoria Falls – Zimbabwe
Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls. It is set on the magnificent Zambezi River which creates the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. These spectacular falls can be easily visited and viewed from the Zimbabwean side. Considered to be the world’s widest waterfalls, Victoria Falls measures 1708 metres in width. The small town of Victoria Falls, which lies adjacent to the waterfalls, serves as a great base from which to explore the attractions this area of Zimbabwe has to offer. The surrounding area provides a wide range of adrenalin-filled activities for adventure lovers. Visitors can look forward to an array of wonderful activities including: scenic flights, micro lighting, white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking and trips to the Chobe National Park.

Somalisa ExpeditionsLuxury
You will have a transfer to the domestic terminal where you will meet your charter flight to Hwange. There you will be met by your guide and transferred on a game drive of about 20 minutes to the camp.
Here your activities will be game drives and walks with the experienced guides.
Hwange National Park
Situated in western Zimbabwe, the Hwange National Park is the country’s biggest reserve, home to a profusion of wildlife, including giraffe, lion, zebra and approximately 40 000 elephants. It provides a sanctuary for all the country’s endangered species, including a population of wild dogs thought to be among the most sizeable surviving groups on the continent. The park’s magnificent terrain ranges from desert dunes, savannah lands and mopane woodlands to rocky outcrops and sparse forests. Visitors can look forward to game drives, guided walks or horse riding safaris. Other highlights include: the Bumbusi National Monument and the Nyamandhlovu Pan.

Today you will have a flight to Mana Pools where you will be met by your guide and transferred to the camp on the river. You can enjoy game drives as well as walks, Mana Pools is known for excellent walking. The camp is located on the Zambezi river so you can also enjoy relaxing in the shade and watching the wildlife and bird life drawn in by this incredible water source.
Mana Pools National Park
Located in northern Zimbabwe, the life-giving power of the Zambezi River makes Mana Pools National Park one of Zimbabwe’s most lush and flourishing regions. Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is known for its natural beauty and as one of the continent’s premier game-viewing areas. Chilo GorgeLuxury
Today you will have a flight to Harare where you will then meet a flight to Mahenya Airstrip. You will be met there by Chilo and they will transfer you to the safari lodge. Here you are able to go an game drives and walks on the concession or into the national park. You can also go on walks, have a community visit to the local village, enjoy sundowners on the river bed and have a trip to see the Chilojo Cliffs.
Gonarezhou National Park
Bordering Mozambique in the southeastern lowveld of Zimbabwe, Gonarezhou, meaning ‘place of elephants’, is Zimbabwe’s second-largest national park and home to over 10 000 elephants. The park extends across a vast area of floodplains, baobab-dotted scrubland, mopane woodland and pale orange sandstone cliffs. It is home to 4 of Africa’s ‘Big Five’ – elephant, leopard, lion and buffalo – as well as a multiplicity of other animal and bird species. Visitors can camp in an unfenced campsite for a truly close encounter with an array of spectacular wildlife including 140 species of mammal, at least 100 different reptile species and over 500 species of bird. Other highlights include: viewing the beautiful Chilojo Cliffs towering over the scenic Runde River valley, bird watching and game viewing.
