Begin your first full day in Singapore by hopping onto a traditional bumboat, a humble mode of water transportation that is operated both to ferry goods and people across Singapore River. Set sail across the watery stretches bound for Merlion Park, home to a magnificent water fountain statue in the shape of the namesake mythical creature. Embrace the magnificent views of the Marina Bay waterfront, before heading down towards the Civic District. Ride through the boulevards, enriched with deep history before continuing down to Orchard Road, a chic shopping avenue that is the heartbeat of Singapore’s modern retail scene. Finally, head to the nearby National Orchid Garden and marvel at the collection of more than 60,000 plants and orchids. Do keep an eye out for the country’s national flower,

‘Papilionanthe Miss Joaquim’, before heading back to your hotel to spend the rest of the day at your own leisure.

Start your culinary filled evening at the Satay by the Bay, delighting into succulent satay, a meat marinated in special spices, skewered, and grilled over flaming charcoal. Additionally, experience Hokkien Mee, a local favourite noodle dish cooked in a unique broth. End the meal with a refreshing glass of sugar cane drink.

Thereafter, visit the award-winning Gardens by the Bay. As you enter the astonishing Cloud Forest and Flower Dome, admire the exotic plants and floral display from across the world. End your evening with a mesmerising light show at the SuperTree Grove, measuring between twenty-five and fifty metres tall, these iconic tree-like vertical gardens are designed with large canopies that provide shade in the day and come alive with an exhilarating display of light and sound at night, aptly named the Garden Rhapsody*.
