When you arrive in Sri Lanka you will be welcomed by your chauffeur at the airport. You will then be transferred to Negombo which is a journey that will last approximately 30 mins. You will then check into your accommodation. After this, you can spend the day at leisure, some of the places which you can visit after you have checked in are. The fish markets where you can taste local cuisine, visit Negombo beach and relax and soak in the sun or you can visit the Hamilton Canal where you will be able to hire bikes (you must meet this cost personally) and cycle up the canal. There are other places which you will be able to discover in this beautiful city.

The next day will start with you enjoying breakfast at the resort and visiting a local market in Negombo. Afterwards, you will then proceed to Anuradhapura. This journey will last approximately 3.5 Hrs and when you have arrived you will enjoy a tour of the ancient city. The next activity is check-in at the resort and enjoying the evening at leisure followed by dinner. During your time of leisure along with many different and interesting sites, you can visit the Abhayagiri Buddist temple where you will be able to experience history dating back from 1BC.
You can visit the archaeological museum where your knowledge of Sri Lanka will improve. Why not pay a visit to the Anuradhapura World Heritage Site? Where you can explore Negombo’s archaeological sites during its 1000 years as the capital city of Sri Lanka. On the next day, after the conclusion of breakfast at the resort. You will proceed to Wilpattu National Park for a jeep safari. Return to the resort to spend the day at leisure and dinner.

The next day will start with breakfast at the resort and proceed to Minneriya national park with a journey lasting approximately 1.5 Hrs where you will arrive for a jeep safari. After your experience of the national park has concluded you will continue onto Dambulla which will last roughly half an hour and you will check-in at the resort. Spend the day at leisure where you can visit the golden temple which is a Buddhist museum that was established in 2000 through Japanese donations. You can see a museum of wall paintings which shows Sri Lakan paintings.
Or take a trip to the cave temples where you can explore five different caves. Wherever you choose to visit you will not be disappointed. You can then return to the resort where you can have dinner. On the next day, enjoy breakfast at the resort you will then visit and climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Then proceed to Polonnaruwa, a journey of approximately 1 Hr and enjoy a tour of the ancient city. Return to the resort and spend the evening at leisure followed by dinner. This time of leisure gives you chance to explore more of the beautiful city.

After your morning’s breakfast at the resort, you will then proceed to Jaffna which is approximately a 4 Hrs trip. When you arrive you will go on a short tour of the city with visits to the Jaffna Fort and the Nallur kovil. You will then check in at the resort and spend the day at leisure. While in Jaffna you can visit Jaffna Fort which was built in 1680 to be used as a defence mechanism. You can visit the Jaffna Public Library which is important to the historic culture and in 2002 was one of the first buildings to be rebuilt from the ceasefire in 1981.
You can also take a visit to the clock tower where the prince of wales in 1875 visited as it was in honour of him. The current Prince of Wales (Prince Charles) donated the current working clocks. You will then return to the resort for dinner. The next day, enjoy breakfast at the resort and proceed to Delft Island for a full-day tour. Thereafter, return to the resort and spend the evening at leisure.

Enjoy breakfast at the resort and proceed to Trincomalee. This journey will take approximately 4 hours when you arrive you will check-in at the resort and spend the day at leisure. Trincomalee has bundles to offer, during your time at leisure you can visit the prime natural harbours which are located here and are said to be one of the best in the world. There is a great historical and religious importance here. It is said to be home to the historical Gokana in the Mahavamsa sometimes known as the great chronicle. The religious importance is through the Shiva Temple which is the site of Trikuta Hill which is featured in the Hindu text Vayu Purana.
While in the time of leisure you can partake in visiting Fort Fredrick which is a defensive site to help protect Sri Lanka. You can also visit the maritime and naval history museum which shows Sri Lanka’s history. Here you will gain a sense of Sri Lanka. Why not take a trip to Manayaweli cove which is a beach where you can relax and have an amazing view. After this, there will be dinner at the accommodation. Take part in a tour of the city with visits to the Lover’s Leap, Koneshwaram temple and the hot springs during the day.

Enjoy breakfast at the resort and then take an approximately four hour trip to Kandy. When you arrive you will take part in a walking tour of the city. After the conclusion of the tour, you will check in at the resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure followed by dinner. Kandy played a massive role within the Sinhalese Kingdom which fell into British Hands in 1815 serving as the capital city. During your time of leisure, you can explore the Kandy lake which is an artificial lake created in 1807 by Sri Wickrama Rajasinha.
Why not visit the temple of the sacred which is one the most important Buddhist relics in Sri Lanka. If you love tea then you should visit the Ceylon Tea Museum where you can have a guided tour. You can also visit the audience hall which is an open-air pavilion.

Enjoy breakfast at the resort and proceed to Nuwara Eliya which will take a journey of approximately 3 hours. In Nuwara Eliya, take part in a short tour of the city and visit a tea factory for a tea experience. Afterwards, check-in at the hotel and spend the evening at leisure followed by dinner. In the course of your leisure time in Nuwara Eliya, you can partake in the Hakgala Garden which is an attractive garden. To arrive in Hakgala Garden you will need to take a 20 min bus journey (at the cost of yourselves). The next activity is Victoria Park which is said to be one the most attractive towns in Sri Lanka. The following morning you can enjoy breakfast at the resort and then head to Horton Plains for a trek.
Return to the resort and spend the evening at leisure followed by dinner. The last part of leisure is in Nuwara Eliya where you can visit Pedro tea estate where you can take a 20-minute tour of the tea plantation where you can explore the origins of your tea and coffee. Finally, you can visit Gallway’s land national park which was created in 2006 and is the home to unique fauna and flora.

The first activity for the day is to enjoy breakfast at the resort and take the train to Ella. When you arrive at Ella you will check-in at the resort and spend the day at leisure followed by dinner. During your time of leisure in Ella, you can take a time to relax in a town which is known for its hill-country. While here there will be plenty of opportunities to take photos in the view’s which are spectacular. If you love hiking then Ella is the place for you. There are places situated in Ella where you can take a hike (hiking is your own risk). You can go to Ella rock which has picturesque views which are bound to leave you speechless. The next activity you could partake in while in Ella is a visit to nine arches bridge where you can visit one of Sri Lanka’s most visited attractions.

At the start of your 14th day, you will enjoy breakfast at the resort and proceed to Yala. The journey to Yala will take approximately 3 hours where en route you will visit Little Adam’s peak. Little Adam’s peak is a place where you can hike and take beautiful pictures and experience a breathtaking view. You will then check-in at the hotel and spend the day at leisure followed by dinner. During your time of leisure, you could take a trip to the beach and spend some time relaxing and soaking up the sun. Day 15 will be spent participating in a jeep safari at Yala National Park where you will be able to see elephants, monkeys and leopards.

On the 16th day, you will proceed to Galle after breakfast at the resort. Galle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This journey will last approximately 4 hours and en route you will visit the Udawalawe National Park and take part in a jeep safari. Udawalawe National Park is the home to tourism and a variety of flora and fauna. Some of which are the Sri Lankan leopard, Sri Lankan pipe snake, Brown-capped babbler and a Ceylon stone sucker.
You will then check-in at the hotel and spend the evening and the next day at leisure. During the 17th day, you will take part in the “Battles & Bansions” tour of the Galle Fort in the daytime. When you are in your leisure period you can visit the Marine archaeological museum where you can gain a rich insight into Sri Lanka’s heritage. You can also visit flag rock which is the end of the fort which would have been used during wartime and nowadays you can use it as a viewing platform for the sunset or in the daytime you can use it to visit the local food stalls.

The journey from Bentota to Colombo will take approximately 1 hour 30 mins en route, you will visit the Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery. Where they do an amazing job at protecting the conservation of Turtles in Sri Lanka. You will be able to help and gain a rich experience and gain knowledge of how to help. You will then Check-in at the hotel and spend some time at leisure.
While you have time for leisure in the capital of Sri Lanka you can visit the national museum wherein in each room you will explore a different time in Sri Lanka’s history. You can visit Seema Malakaya Meditation Centre which is a religious site in Colombo which was created in 1985 by Geoffrey Bawa. Finally, end the day with a street food tour of Colombo.
