Day 2

On day 2 you will have a private driver guide at your disposal for 6 hours to see the main sights in Rio de Janeiro:  Corcovado & Sugarloaf. Everything begins on board of a centenarian eco-friendly electric train. It cuts through the well-preserved Atlantic Forest, which is part of Tijuca’s National Park. At the foot of Cristo Redentor, one of the Seven New Wonders of the Modern World, the most beautiful view overlooking Rio de Janeiro opens out in front of you. The ride to the Sugar Loaf cable Car unfolds a 360º scenery of breathtaking views, including Leme, Copacabana and Flamengo beaches; the Pedra da Gávea, Maciço da Tijuca and Corcovado mountains, the latter showcasing the statue of Christ the Redeemer;  Guanabara Bay; the downtown area; the Santos Dumont Airport; Governador Island; the neighbouring city of Niterói; the Rio-Niterói bridge; and the Serra do Mar mountain backdrop, with the famous Dedo de Deus (“God’s Finger”) peak.

Day 3

On day 3 we’ll do the Hike Tijuca Adventure Circuit – (Regular Tour). This circuit was designed by our team of experts in the Tijuca National Park using trails and sites that are more hidden and unique. The tour offers the opportunity to hike through the Tijuca Tropical Rainforest, one of the largest urban forests in the world. Our tour takes the group through an off the beaten track circuit of trails to discover its nature and history reaching the Taquara Hill (814m=2670ft), 100m higher than Christ the Redeemer, with magnificent views to the West part of Rio. This tour also visits the ruins of an old coffee farm and we see caves and waterfalls by hiking in the deep jungle over suspension bridges and streams. After the hike, refresh yourself showering in a waterfall* (bring a light towel and bathing suit). The scenery of this tour is amazing and as well as nature, it has a lot of adventurous moments inside the rainforest visiting sites that are not featured in most tours. On our way up, you will discover the history of Rio and Tijuca Forest and all about the coffee farms that used to exist there, its golden years and the reforestation that took place in the XIX century.
