Shamwari Long Lee Manor

Shamwari Long Lee Manor lies nestled on the banks of the meandering Bushmans River. The Edwardian-style manor house was originally built in 1910 and features beautifully landscaped gardens, with viewing decks and a large rim-flow pool that offer stunning panoramic views of the exquisite grounds and the sweeping plains beyond, abundant with thriving wildlife.
Long Lee Manor has been part of the Shamwari Private Game Reserve for over a hundred years, watching over the plains with an air of grace and grandeur. The magnificent main building is built with classic pillars and stone steps leading down to the extended swimming pool with sun loungers where guests can enjoy a refreshing beverage from the fully-stocked bar. Recently restored, the manor has been tastefully decorated to reflect its heritage and location, offering an opulent place to rest and admire the amazing flora and fauna of the endless wilderness.

Shamwari Bayethe Lodge

Shamwari Bayethe Lodge is set within a private game reserve in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. The exclusive setting is home to both plains and forest, and guests can look forward to waking up each morning with Africa’s iconic wildlife waiting on the horizon. One of a number of lodges run by Shamwari, Bayethe Lodge offers 5-star accommodation with 12 blended canopy suites – each with its own private plunge pools, a soothing and relaxing spa, and exciting game drives across the plains where guests can earn about the area from a knowledgeable and professional guide. Shamwari Riverdene

Shamwari Riverdene is a family-friendly safari lodge, set in the diverse landscape of the Shamwari Private Game Reserve where guests can find an abundance of incredible wildlife including the famous Big 5. The 9 luxury rooms are laid out in their own little village, creating a small community of like-minded travellers. With a toddler play area and children’s adventure zone, Riverdene Lodge is the ideal setting for families to explore the rich wilderness of the Eastern Cape. Children can experience fun safari activities and learn about their favourite animals in the Kids Club, as well as enjoy hours of entertainment in the outdoor playground, complete with climbing frames, mini watchtowers and a trampoline.

Amakhala Bush Lodge

Bush Lodge is a picturesque 5-star lodge found only 45 minutes drive east of Port Elizabeth and transports guests to another, better world. Bush Lodge is set in the spectacular Amakhala Reserve in an open valley flanked by rolling hills and lush riverine vegetation. Here, discreetly tucked between the treetops, is an intimate lodge of wood, canvas and thatch – the perfect base from which to explore this rustic slice of the African wild. Shamwari Sarili

Shamwari Sarili is a private lodge where guests can exist in harmony with nature and wildlife roams the landscape, located in the heart of the Eastern Cape. The private game reserve is home to vast herds of wildlife – including Africa’s Big 5, various species of birdlife – some of which are endemic to the Eastern Cape, and incredible ecological diversity. Gorah Elephant Camp

Gorah Elephant Camp rests in the only private concession within the renowned Addo Elephant National Park. Here, guests can experience the incomparable thrill of quietly observing a passing herd of elephants while receiving 5-star treatment in the comfort of a stately colonial manor house. This exclusive safari lodge consists of 11 spacious tented suites beneath thatched canopies, each with private decks, a living area and an en-suite bathroom.

Kariega Main Lodge

Main Lodge (4-star) offers families, friends and couples a relaxed and friendly environment to enjoy the African bush. All the log chalets are air-conditioned, with en-suite bedrooms, large private viewing decks and some with private pools. Each has a spacious lounge and living area which is great for socializing before retreating to the privacy and comfort of your bedroom. The lodge has been expertly integrated with the surrounding bush to create a natural environment where guests can enjoy traditional meals in the restaurant or boma, a drink at the bar or a quiet swim in the pool. Spa treatments on offer in the new Wellness Centre. A daily children’s programme is available.

Kariega Homestead

Located in a remote part of Kariega Private Game Reserve, Kariega Homestead offers an exclusive experience for families or groups of friends who are looking to stay in their own private safari lodge. The Homestead consists of seven luxurious en-suite rooms, a lounge and dining room, a bar and entertainment area, kitchen, laundry room and play area.
