Migration Expeditions

Migration Expeditions is African Bush Camps first property situated in Nxai Pan National Park, Botswana. Nxai Pan is one of Makgadikgadi’s natural salt pans and is located on the northern border of the national park. African Bush Camps Migration Expeditions is a seasonal camp that operates from December, through till the end of March. Lasting throughout the duration of the high season, which presents the optimum time for wildlife viewing. Camp is accessible by road or helicopter from Maun. The intimate camp is made up of 6 canvas tents set on low decks with en-suite bathrooms and bucket showers, with two main area tents consisting of the lounge and dining areas, with all-inclusive rates as standard.

Afrika Ecco Mobile Safaris

For travellers wanting a deep connection to nature and a sense of adventure, Afrika Ecco Safari Camp is the perfect place. Moving through some of Botswana’s most outstanding wilderness, such as the Okavango Delta; Makgadikgadi Salt Pans; Central Kalahari Game Reserve; Moremi Game Reserve; and the Savute-Chobe National Park, guests will not be disappointed for lack of adventure. Camping in diverse landscapes, under the wide starry skies of Botswana there is little to separate you from the nature. Kuthengo Camp

Nestled on the banks of the Shire River, under the shade of the ancient Boabab trees is Kuthengo Camp in Liwonde National Park, Malawi. There you can wake up with to birdsong in your own safari tent filled with luxurious features, like an outdoor shower and air-conditioning. Whatever time of year, Liwonde is a treasure trove of natural sights ready for you to savour. And after all the sights, you can head back to camp and enjoy delicious meals under the stars, and a nightcap round the campfire as you retell the magical moments of your day. Mvuu Camp

Mvuu Camp has a spectacular vantage point along the Shire River that draws all manner of fauna to its banks. The camp, comprising 14 units as well as a nearby campsite, is a clever mix of spacious stone and canvas chalets and specially designed family tents. An impressive thatched dining and lounge area offers a magnificent river vista that is framed by two large baobab trees. Dinners are sometimes held under the stars in a specially constructed boma. A custom-built education and conference centre with facilities for up to 40 delegates or smaller corporate and team building functions is available.

Mumbo Island Camp

Mumbo is a pristine island in Lake Malawi National Park which, with its crystal clear waters and innumerable species of cichlid fish, offers some of the best freshwater scuba diving in the world and the best snorkelling on the Lake. The island lies 10km north-west of Cape Maclear, where reception and the nearest point of road access is located. The camp comprises five units (two twin tents and three twin reed chalets) perched on rocks high above the water shaded by lush foliage, each with bucket showers, ‘eco-loos’ and wooden deck. A hammock provides a comfortable spot to take in the idyllic Lake view. A twin-tented family unit is tucked into the forest near the main beach. There is a dining area, bar and watersport gazebo of timber and thatch. Activities here vary from lazing in a hammock to snorkelling, diving, swimming, kayaking, walking and bird watching. Guests have the option of boating or paddling to explore the granitic islands of the Lake.

Chelinda Camp

Chelinda Camp, situated within Nyika National Park, overlooks a crystal-clear dam with views out onto the open grasslands of the High Nyika Plateau. The camp has two types of accommodation. Four chalets each with two bedrooms, bathrooms, a lounge, dining area with fireplace, and small kitchen are ideal for private groups with their own guide; private meals can be enjoyed in the chalet. Six twin-bedded en-suite rooms with either a bath or shower are also available; guests here take meals in the nearby main area, which has a large dining, bar and lounge area complete with comfortable furnishings and an inviting fireplace. This unique area is explored via day and night game drives, walks and mountain biking. The area has a host of birding specials such as Bar-tailed Trogon, White-chested Alethe and Denham’s Bustard.

Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp

Located in the Makoma Hills in Central Serengeti, Acacia Seronera Luxury Camp is an excellent option for a nature getaway. Accommodation options feature 8 en-suite luxury tents offering breath-taking views of the Serengeti plains. The tents are tastefully furnished and feature comfortable amenities to ensure guests enjoy a relaxing stay. The campsite features a restaurant offering mouth-watering, relax in the lounge and unwind with a drink at the bar. Serengeti Safari Camp Central is a mobile camp that travels across the plains of Serengeti so that guests can follow the migration herds and enjoy the best possible game viewing year-round. One of the first of Greater Serengeti’s mobile safari camps, Serengeti Safari Camp Central packs up and moves to a new location 4-5 every 2-3 months. Guests are unable to stay at the camp while it is moving, however, you can enjoy revisiting this friendly home-away-from-home with guides who hold a collective 200 years of experience between them, while being able to experience a fresh stay in a completely new landscape.
