An imposing statement of Khmer, Art Deco and French Colonial style, Hotel Le Royal originally opened its grand doors in 1929. It reopened as Raffles Hotel Le Royal in 1997 after a sensitive extension and refurbishment. To protect this piece of Cambodian heritage, local artisans were commissioned to recreate painted ceilings, decorative beaten copper crests and outdoor sculptures.

The Hotel has been designed with exceptional wooden interiors that also reflect French sophisticated architecture to provide one of a kind experience for all guests who stay. The Hotel & Spa was derived from the Khmer word, “Vannak” which is one of the five traditional Khmer blessings; AyuVannak, Sokhak, Polak, Nig and Padepeanak. These blessings are intended to bring people success, prosperity and happiness in their daily lives. This corresponds to the splendour of this jewel of a property in Cambodia.
