Shamwari Sarili

Shamwari Sarili is a private lodge where guests can exist in harmony with nature and wildlife roams the landscape, located in the heart of the Eastern Cape. The private game reserve is home to vast herds of wildlife – including Africa’s Big 5, various species of birdlife – some of which are endemic to the Eastern Cape, and incredible ecological diversity. The private lodge overlooks the grassy plains and stunning Bushman’s River, and is perfect for groups of up to 10 people, featuring 5 luxurious en-suite rooms, a lounge with a cosy fireplace, and personal staff to attend to your needs including a house manager, private chef and dedicated ranger. Shamwari’s Kids on Safari programme ensures that the whole family can enjoy exciting activities throughout their stay, and spa treatments are available in-room and in the dedicated treatment rooms and saunas at the other lodges in the reserve.

Gorah Elephant Camp

Gorah Elephant Camp rests in the only private concession within the renowned Addo Elephant National Park. Here, guests can experience the incomparable thrill of quietly observing a passing herd of elephants while receiving 5-star treatment in the comfort of a stately colonial manor house. This exclusive safari lodge consists of 11 spacious tented suites beneath thatched canopies, each with private decks, a living area and an en-suite bathroom.
Addo Elephant National Park is home to an incredible array of wildlife including the Big 5 and the world’s densest population of elephants. Situated just an hour’s drive from Port Elizabeth, Gorah Elephant Camp is the ideal location for beginning a tour of the Garden Route. Kariega Main Lodge

Main Lodge (4-star) offers families, friends and couples a relaxed and friendly environment to enjoy the African bush. All the log chalets are air-conditioned, with en-suite bedrooms, large private viewing decks and some with private pools. Each has a spacious lounge and living area which is great for socializing before retreating to the privacy and comfort of your bedroom. The lodge has been expertly integrated with the surrounding bush to create a natural environment where guests can enjoy traditional meals in the restaurant or boma, a drink at the bar or a quiet swim in the pool. Spa treatments on offer in the new Wellness Centre. A daily children’s programme is available.

Kariega Homestead

Located in a remote part of Kariega Private Game Reserve, Kariega Homestead offers an exclusive experience for families or groups of friends who are looking to stay in their own private safari lodge. The Homestead consists of seven luxurious en-suite rooms, a lounge and dining room, a bar and entertainment area, kitchen, laundry room and play area. Guests can enjoy delicious meals whipped up by their own private chef, and embark on exciting game drives with a private ranger and guide. The lodge rests beside a beautifully manicured lawn and refreshing swimming pool, offering incredible views of the African wilderness where guests can enjoy incredible wildlife viewing including the famous Big 5.

Sibuya River Camp

A fascinating 11km boat-ride up the Estuary from the seaside village of Kenton-on-Sea brings you to the jetty at River Camp. Only four spacious luxury en-suite tents skilfully hidden in the riverine forest maximize privacy for each tent and ensure an exclusive and personalised experience. Every tent has its own cosy fireplace to ensure a snuggly warm environment on chillier nights. Professional and passionate staff ensure a time to be spoilt and make memories to treasure. The Camp recommended for families with children visiting Sibuya. These enormous 75 m2 tents with sleeper couches that convert to two single beds for children sharing, ensure plenty of space for the whole family.

Kwandwe Ecca Lodge

Ecca Lodge rests in the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve, overlooking breathtakingly beautiful scenery and a dense valley of verdant trees, rich flora and incredible wildlife. Nestled amongst the treetops, the six wood and glass suites offer stunning panoramic views featuring an escarpment of steep shale cliffs. With light and airy atmospheres, stylish interiors and wraparound decks – complete with private plunge pools and outdoor showers, guests can enjoy a luxurious stay in the heart of the tranquil wilderness.
 
The family suites include a private vehicle and ranger, and are perfectly suited for 2 adults and 2 children, with two day-beds in the lounge for guests under 16. The lodge is intimate, relaxed and trendy with décor inspired by the vibrant colours and textures of our nearby villages.

Karoo Lodge at Samara

Karoo Lodge is situated within the peaceful Samara Private Game Reserve, surrounded by 27,000-hectare of pristine wilderness and resting in the shade of a natural amphitheatre of mountains. The lodge features a warm and inviting living room with a luxurious bar area and cosy fireside seating. A large dining room with a fireplace is used for indoor dinners during the chilly winter evenings, and when the weather is pleasant, guests can enjoy romantic candlelit dinners out on the verandah, or in the boma, a traditional reed enclosure warmed by a roaring fire. The pool is fenced off from the spacious main lawn and has a covered gazebo area for warm summer evenings.
Karoo Lodge consists of nine double rooms and can cater for solo travellers, couples and families. The lodge can also be booked for the exclusive use of up to 18 guests, offering an incredible private safari experience in this tranquil and comfortable setting.

Kwandwe Fort House

Kwandwe Fort House is a private villa set within the rugged landscape of the stunning Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Guests can look forward to an incredible safari adventure in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by rolling verdant plains and scattered vegetation. Elegantly designed and set within a rugged landscape, modernity meets classic safari at Fort House.
 
The exclusive villa features two master bedrooms and two suites as well as luxurious and spacious living and entertainment areas. The house can cater for up to eight guests and includes staff who will ensure every detail is perfect throughout your stay.
 
Guests can enjoy unwinding on the front terrace that overlooks a wildlife-rich expanse of grassland close to one of the major waterholes on the reserve. Here you can look out for the Kwandwe’s prolific birdlife or amazing mammals including the famous Big 5.
 
The solar-heated rim-flow pool shares the same view, as does the boma which is sunken into the grounds of the expansive lawn in front of the house and offers guests a romantic setting for dining under the stars. Fort House’s central location provides easy access to the prime game viewing areas of Kwandwe, while offering a serene and tranquil atmosphere far from the other lodges within the reserve.

Kwandwe Uplands Homestead

Kwandwe Uplands Homestead is an exclusive safari villa, nestled amongst the ground’s beautiful manicured gardens which contrast with the sweeping wilderness of the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Shrouded in the romance and spirit of adventure from the classic safari era, the homestead features three luxurious and spacious suites with a comfortable yet elegant design.
 
All of the suites include their own private verandahs and en-suite bathrooms. Guests can admire the stunning landscape views from the comfort of their beds, while surrounded by antique mirrors, yellowwood trunks and artefacts that call to another time. The kitchen is this homestead’s heart and core where meals are created to be shared by friends and family under the African sky in the boma after the day’s adventures.

Kwandwe Melton Manor

Kwandwe Melton Manor is a private space that inspires the sharing of meals, laughter and experiences around the farmhouse table. The exclusive manor house rests within the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve and overlooks the stunning wilderness and Afromontane forests. The stretching plains extend as far as the eye can see, with verdant shrubs and low-growing trees scattered against the backdrop of the rolling hills.
 
The manor itself enjoys a simple and contemporary design, the natural colour scheme allowing it to blend into its surroundings and cause minimum disruption to the landscape. Melton Manor consists of 4 double suites, gathered around a spacious central courtyard with a refreshing swimming pool and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces designed to create a relaxing environment for exciting wildlife viewing.
