Karoo Lodge at Samara

Karoo Lodge is situated within the peaceful Samara Private Game Reserve, surrounded by 27,000-hectare of pristine wilderness and resting in the shade of a natural amphitheatre of mountains. The lodge features a warm and inviting living room with a luxurious bar area and cosy fireside seating. A large dining room with a fireplace is used for indoor dinners during the chilly winter evenings, and when the weather is pleasant, guests can enjoy romantic candlelit dinners out on the verandah, or in the boma, a traditional reed enclosure warmed by a roaring fire. The pool is fenced off from the spacious main lawn and has a covered gazebo area for warm summer evenings.
Karoo Lodge consists of nine double rooms and can cater for solo travellers, couples and families. The lodge can also be booked for the exclusive use of up to 18 guests, offering an incredible private safari experience in this tranquil and comfortable setting.

Kwandwe Fort House

Kwandwe Fort House is a private villa set within the rugged landscape of the stunning Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Guests can look forward to an incredible safari adventure in the heart of the wilderness, surrounded by rolling verdant plains and scattered vegetation. Elegantly designed and set within a rugged landscape, modernity meets classic safari at Fort House.
 
The exclusive villa features two master bedrooms and two suites as well as luxurious and spacious living and entertainment areas. The house can cater for up to eight guests and includes staff who will ensure every detail is perfect throughout your stay.
 
Guests can enjoy unwinding on the front terrace that overlooks a wildlife-rich expanse of grassland close to one of the major waterholes on the reserve. Here you can look out for the Kwandwe’s prolific birdlife or amazing mammals including the famous Big 5.
 
The solar-heated rim-flow pool shares the same view, as does the boma which is sunken into the grounds of the expansive lawn in front of the house and offers guests a romantic setting for dining under the stars. Fort House’s central location provides easy access to the prime game viewing areas of Kwandwe, while offering a serene and tranquil atmosphere far from the other lodges within the reserve.

Kwandwe Uplands Homestead

Kwandwe Uplands Homestead is an exclusive safari villa, nestled amongst the ground’s beautiful manicured gardens which contrast with the sweeping wilderness of the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve. Shrouded in the romance and spirit of adventure from the classic safari era, the homestead features three luxurious and spacious suites with a comfortable yet elegant design.
 
All of the suites include their own private verandahs and en-suite bathrooms. Guests can admire the stunning landscape views from the comfort of their beds, while surrounded by antique mirrors, yellowwood trunks and artefacts that call to another time. The kitchen is this homestead’s heart and core where meals are created to be shared by friends and family under the African sky in the boma after the day’s adventures.

Kwandwe Melton Manor

Kwandwe Melton Manor is a private space that inspires the sharing of meals, laughter and experiences around the farmhouse table. The exclusive manor house rests within the Kwandwe Private Game Reserve and overlooks the stunning wilderness and Afromontane forests. The stretching plains extend as far as the eye can see, with verdant shrubs and low-growing trees scattered against the backdrop of the rolling hills.
 
The manor itself enjoys a simple and contemporary design, the natural colour scheme allowing it to blend into its surroundings and cause minimum disruption to the landscape. Melton Manor consists of 4 double suites, gathered around a spacious central courtyard with a refreshing swimming pool and a variety of indoor and outdoor spaces designed to create a relaxing environment for exciting wildlife viewing.

Ant’s Hill

Perched on a cliff that offers sweeping views over the luscious valley, Ant’s Hill is rustic and authentic, offering a traditional yet comfortable safari stay. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the rooms are spacious and bright, all with private deckings where guests can enjoy gazing over the endless horizons. Guests can spend their days exploring the Waterberg, on a traditional game drive or guided walk, a dip in the heated pool, or a local village trip. One of the specialities on offer at Ant’s Hill is their horse riding safaris. Gallop through the wild Waterberg with the wind in your hair, becoming a part of nature. Return to the main lodge for a delicious freshly cooked meal and a glass of smooth South African wine enjoyed on the decking underneath the wide starry sky.

Hippo Lakes Safari Lodge

Hippo Lakes brings you the ultimate luxury African Safari experience. Situated in the spectacular Waterberg region, the lodge is uniquely nestled along the edge of a lake bank at the end of a long rugged ravine. The lodge offers you a unique safari wildlife encounter with an unusually large number of animals, birds and plant life. Hippo Lakes lies within the malaria-free UNESCO World Nature Site.

Over 30 animal species roam our area including hippo, buffalo, wildebeest, leopard, giraffe, kudu, sable, eland, nyala, hyaena and wild dog. You also have the option to go on "Big 5" excursions to encounter lion, elephant and rhinos. The greater Waterberg region is reported to have more rhino than all of Kenya and we proudly support anti-poaching initiatives to keep this magnificent species viable.
A highlight is the bush braai (BBQ) dinner on the second night. This is another opportunity for you to connect with your fellow travellers, taste the incredible African cuisine prepared in front of you by our chefs and listen to the sounds of the African night under the canopy of stars and planets breathtakingly visible in the Southern hemisphere.

Madikwe Game Reserve covers an area of 75000 hectares of unique topography and breathtaking beauty bordering Botswana. It is home to the Big 5, the beautiful Painted Wolf (African Wild Dogs), Cheetah, Brown and Spotted Hyena a variety of large mammals and bird life.
Carved from the hillside, eight glass fronted luxury chalets and one Deluxe Suite line a natural spring, each enjoying striking views of the African Bush.
Children are welcome at Impodimo and they love to go out of their way to ensure that kids and parents both have an unforgettable safari experience. Kids may participate in the kiddies program, where the children are entertained and occupied with fun and educational activities.
