Pantai Restaurant

Perched on the shores of the private Sentigi beach lies Pantai Restaurant, specialising in BBQ and Seafood Grill, the restaurant uses only the freshest ingredients from the Indonesian archipelago. Dine on the wooden deck with waves playing beneath your feet, spot some Menjangan deer walking by or choose to dine a secluded gazebo hidden in the mangroves. Experience dishes like Carpaccio of swordfish, vanilla and cinnamon french toast, pancakes, a variety of salads, fish and meats made from the grill, or choose from the gluten free and vegan menus available.

Snorkel & Dive

Choose from one of the several world-class dive sites that lie off Menjangan Island, a short boat ride away from the resort, and explore the coral gardens, reef walls and spot a large variety of marine life: see sea fans, pygmy seahorses, vivid gorgonians, schools of snapper, and reef sharks.

Kayaking

Experience the adventure of kayaking through the mangroves, across the waters of Bajul Bay and visit the nearby Banyuwedang Hot Springs along the way. You can choose to venture out into the waters on your own and take your time exploring the bay’s sandy beaches or hire a guide to join you and learn about the flora and fauna that occupy the bay.

Balanese Cooking Class

Take part in the Balinese cooking class to explore the exotic flavours in a four course culinary experience that is suitable for children and adults who have a passion for cooking. There will be a private Balinese chef accompanying you who will guide you through the preparation of dishes using fresh ingredients, cooking tools and recipes like they use in local homes and villages. Included in this class are a cooking class recipe book, a certificate and a special gift from the chef.

Horseback Riding

Experience horseback riding through the park on an Australian horse who know the woods that you will ride through. Passing through the woods, you will be able to soak in the views of the forest and the beach as you are guided by the trained staff who tailor each trek to suit your riding ability whether you are a beginner or more experienced. These lessons take place early in the morning or late in the afternoon so that both yourself and the horses avoid the heat of the sun.

Trekking & Biking

Explore the forest with the options of on foot or riding a mountain bike, accompanied by trained guides who will share secrets about the flora and fauna within the forest: some of these that can be spotted are the most tuneful birds and leaves that are used for antiseptic. You will also be able to come up close to a monitor lizard by treading softly in its presence, or the Menjangan deer after which the resort is named.

Bird Watching

With more than 120 species of birds, the West Bali National Park is the perfect place for those passionate about bird watching. Many of these birds are on the endangered species list which the guide will point out to you along the tour. You will be able to see the Bali Starling in the area which needs protecting as do the other rare and endemic birds that are close to extinction.

Corporate Social Responsibility

“The idea behind The Menjangan was-like all good ideas- simple: to create the perfect nature retreat located in one of the most beautiful yet least visited parts of the wonderful island of Bali. The concept was to work in harmony with nature to establish an intimate boutique hideaway where guests can escape the outside world and share the natural beauty of Bali with their partners, families and friends. The resort is relaxed, casual and quiet, with the emphasis on restoring calm and simplicity to stressed minds and bodies, both on land and in the forests of the West Bali National Park and under the waves along our world-class coral reefs. We want our local communities to benefit from our passion for life through our inclusion and generosity. Through our Corporate Social Responsibility programme we employ as many local people as possible, actively support orphanages, participate in blood donations and help other local charitable and community events to create a better life for all. We focus on employee welfare and development, nurturing our family teams so they work efficiently and happily, providing exemplary service to our guests. We also actively respect and celebrate local traditions and cultures, work in harmony with the environment and support local communities.”
