The Lodge is home to an indoor bar made from the wreckage of an old boat. This design gives the bar a truly unique feel and makes it a brilliant place to enjoy a cocktail or two.

Small Hope’s Dive Centre has been welcoming guests to the Andros Barrier Reef since 1960, with more than 60 nearby dive sites including shipwrecks, shallow reefs, and breathtaking blue holes allowing guests to discover a whole new world. There is everything from deep wall dives at the edge of the continental shelf, to a magnificent array of coral formations along the huge 124-mile Andros Barrier Reef, the third-largest barrier reef on the planet.

Coral isn’t the only life you can witness. Get up close and personal with the most notorious creatures in the ocean in an afternoon excursion that gives you the opportunity to view sharks up close in their natural habitat. This shark dive aims to raise awareness, preserve marine life and create wonderful memories in a safe, responsible way!

Small Hope has had the privilege of sharing the bounties of this beautiful ecosystem with its guests for over 60 years now. Today, several nature tours are on offer, each of which provides visitors with a chance to see the diverse Bahamian island of Andros, the fifth-largest and the least developed in the Caribbean area.

Snorkel the Andros Barrier Reef with experienced divemasters, learn about the West-African roots of the locals and get to know the many birds of Andros. The guides can take you further into the wild depths to discover the crystal-clear waters of the creeks, bays, and bights by kayak or by motorboat.

Small Hope allows guests to hire a bicycle for free, giving them the freedom to explore the local area at their own pace. Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are also available for those looking for a more aquatic experience, and snorkelling lessons and experiences are also on the menu for absolutely free.
