Msambweni Beach House is a beachside property in the town of Msambweni. Msambweni is a small fishing town on the south-east coast of Kenya and has seen a surge in tourism because of its beautiful beaches and vibrant reefs. To reach the hotel, guests can fly to the Ukunda Airstrip, which is only 30 minutes away.

Master Suites

There are 3 Master Suites in the Main House with gorgeous views overlooking the sea. All the Suites come with a king-size bed, a large terrace with ample seating, and luxury en suite bathrooms. Other amenities included in the room are air conditioning, a satellite TV, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, toiletries and a telephone.

Ocean Suite

Barely a stone’s throw away from the Main House is the deluxe Ocean Suite, ideal for couples on a romantic getaway. The room comes with a king-size bed and opens into a spacious living area that has views of the beach and sea. There is an en suite bathroom that comes with a walk-in shower, two wash basins and an overhead fan. Other amenities included in the room are air conditioning, a satellite TV, a kitchenette with a refrigerator, toiletries and a telephone.

Private Villas

Separate from the Main House are 3 Private Villas with ample space for families, travelling groups or those seeking that extra bit of privacy. Villas 1 and 2 have two double en suite bedrooms, while Villa 3 has three double bedrooms and two en suites. All the Villas have their own beautiful terraces and swimming pools but Villa 3 also comes with its own Jacuzzi. Other amenities included in the Villas are air conditioning, free WIFI, a satellite TV and DVD player, a kitchenette with a refrigerator and microwave, complimentary toiletries and a telephone.

Dining

The restaurant at Msambweni promises top quality dining and an exquisite variety of Swahili, Belgian and French cuisines. Guests can enjoy their meals by the poolside under blue skies or by candlelight and bask in the cooling breeze, or if they prefer they can dine in the Main House’s dining room, or even in the comfort of their private terraces.

Boat Rides

Msambweni is lucky to be located near the Sandbanks and a mangrove ecosystem and offers scenic boat rides up to the Sandbanks and through the mangroves at high tide. Boat rides can easily be accompanied by other activities such as bike rides, beach BBQs and swimming. Msambweni can also take you a little further out into the sea so you can go diving and snorkelling. Be sure to remember your sun cream and swimsuits!

Shimba Hills

Take a trip to the Shimba Hills National Reserve, an area of coastal woodland, grassland and rainforest that is home to over 150 rare Kenyan plants, birdlife, elephants and Kenya’s only population of Sable Antelope. There’s also the possibility to combine a trip here with a walk to the Sheldrick Falls so best wear some comfy shoes!

Wasini Island and Kisite Marine Park

Wasini is a tiny little island barely 2 miles off the coast where you can take an idyllic walk among the mangroves. The island hosts the Kisite Mpunguti Marine Park, which is home to an abundance of marine life including dolphins, green sea turtles, rays, all kinds of fish and sometimes even whale sharks and humpback whales! The park offers the amazing chance to see these beautiful creatures as well as to go snorkelling and diving so you can see them up close.

A Day in Diani

Why not spend a day visiting the town of Diani? Explore the shops and bars, and choose from a great range of activities to try out including golfing, windsurfing, quad driving, horse riding and scuba diving.

Village Bike Rides

Biking is a great way to get around and explore the area. Why not take a ride over to the local village to learn a little about the community and meet some friendly locals?
