Midas Resort

Established in 1991, the Midas Belize Resort is a staple hotel in San Ignacio. Through continued growth and investment, this hotel has developed and improved consistently. Sitting on 30 acres of land, close to the town centre of San Ignacio, and bordering the Macal River, it is an excellent stay. Recently, the hotel has since added a 25 acre nature reserve to preserve it contact with nature.

Midas Belize

Located right by the Belize border with Guatemala, the hotel is located in San Ignacio. It benefits from being close to the centre of San Ignacio whilst also being close to the river. Midas Belize sits on 30 acres of land adjacent to the town centre and borders the Macal River. There is abundant wildlife on the property as it is officially a Private Reserve.

2020 will see Midas become the first hotel in San Ignacio town to be 100% Solar-Power based. Their next mission is to also offer purified water in their own pipe lines even though the water supply already meets health regulations. Recently, they have also added a nature reserve to the premises to maintain a connection to wildlife.

Cabanas

These wooden cabañas are designed to let you experience the most from being in a cool tropical setting. They each have private verandahs and hammocks, so whether you want to read or rest, they are great for both! Inside are beautifully treated wooden floors with varnished pine lumber walls. Choose whether you want a king, queen or double bed and know you’ll have air-conditioned comfort, screened windows and hot and cold water to shower with.

Deluxe

The Deluxe rooms offer two spectacular views – the right wing has its own private balcony overlooking the treetops in the foreground and the left wing the beautiful picturesque setting of the twin towns.  The Deluxe room comes with two double-beds, or one king-size bed.

Private Cottages

The cottages are cozy and affordable. Enjoy the pleasure of lounging in either a double-bed or two single beds. Enjoy air-conditioned cooling or open the screened windows to have the wind caress your skin. Maximise your relaxation in the privacy of a shaded hammock – perfect for an afternoon nap. Stroll along on our lighted walkways as you enjoy our pristine garden setting while heading out for your evening dinner. Also available as a Family Cottage which includes two large rooms, separated by a door in between.

Deluxe King

Exquisitely designed by Belizean-British duo, Maria and Michael, your suite awaits you. Enjoy the finest amenities available. Relax at the open bay window bench and take note of the local wildlife or take a siesta on your very own private verandah in a handmade hammock. Includes one or two beds suitable foe 2-4 guests.

Casita Verda

This two bedroom green house comes fully furnished with the amenities you have in your home. It includes a Refrigerator and Freezer, Cooker, and a Microwave. Breakfast Bar, Living Room with Cable TV and Wireless Internet throughout the building. This makes it a great choice for a long term stay or for those aiming for complete privacy.

Casa Cahal Pech

Casa De Cahal Pech is located adjacent to Cahal Pech Archaeological Reserve, which is one of the oldest temples in Central America. The 3 bedroom house is part of the Midas Belize Collection, and has a garden created just for you to plant anything you desire. This house includes four bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and wooden balcony with a coal grill and outside half-bath.

On site is a lovely and welcoming restaurant, that your party can enjoy or alternatively stay in and request room service. Find traditional Belize options or more Western options, there really is something for everyone!

In a country with abundant water sources, Belize has astonishing caves to explore. The ATM Cave, Barton Creek and Nohoch Che’en offers a unique experience to travellers. Tourists can enjoy cave tubing or canoeing in a water cave or explore something more challenging such as the Crystal Cave and ending the day cooling off at the inland Blue Hole. Guests can take part in zip lining across the rainforest. Spy a rich diversity of insects, birds and animals such as the spider monkeys and kinkajous which are spotted during the zip lining tour. There is also the Belize Zoo which is home to over 45 different species and 175 rehabilitated, orphaned or rescued wildlife animals in Belize on its 29 acres of tropical savannah.
