Qianmen Street

Qianmen Street is a famous pedestrian street where visitors go shopping and sightseeing, composed with buildings with styles that resemble the late Qing Dynasty. The street is a symbol of the local culture that resides here where visitors can enjoy a traditional Chinese way of life as well as exploring the international brands such as H&M, Haagen-Dazs, Sephora, ZARA, and SK Jewellery. There is a variety of Chinese food for people to enjoy with the most popular being roast duck or authentic Muslim cuisine at Yitiaolong restaurant with dishes like Golden Fried Prawns, Braised Ox Tail in brown sauce, Fried Crisp Chicken, and much more.

Dashilar Street

Dashilar Street is the most ancient, famous and distinctive street in hutongs of Beijing which is famous for all kinds of stores with an antique flavour. There are many old famous shops and time-honoured brands that provide visitors with good products which makes it the perfect place for shopping or people can watch sideshows on the over bridge. You can buy products such as hats of Ma Ju Yuan, the shoes of Nei Lian Sheng, and the silk fabric of Rui Fu Xiang. There is a pickle shop, Liu Bi Ju, which first opened in the Ming Dynasty offering a variety of pickles to choose from, Tong Ren Tang which is a shop visitors can buy traditional herbal medicines from, or drink tea in Zhang Yi Yuan and try local snacks at Qing Yun Ge.

Liulichang Cultural Street

Liulichang Cultural Street means the Coloured Glaze Factory Culture Street, also known as Luilichang Antique Street which is located south of the Peace Gate of Xicheng District. Visitors can explore the RongBaozhai and China Bookshop located on the street which was built in the early years of the Qing Dynasty and sells authentic calligraphy and paintings of ancient and modern authors in China. You can also visit the Guanfu Classic Art Museum, a private museum that displays 50 porcelains from the late Ming Dynasty, old-fashioned furniture, carpets and costumes of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The Changdian and Haiwangcun Park is open to the public to explore the old relics of the park and if visiting during the right time, visitors can witness a large temple fair that is held for the first 16 days of the Spring Festival from January 1st to January 16th.
