Cafe Dongxi

Located on the second floor of the hotel, Cafe Dongxi is the onsite restaurant, providing guests with unique delectable creations inspired by both Eastern and Western cuisines. Cafe Dongxi also specialises in the vibrant flavour of Taiwanese cuisine and therefore can’t be missed by any patron of the restaurant.

City God Temple

The City God Temple is a significant Taoist temple of Shanghai with a local saying that “One who does not reach the temple, never reaches Shanghai”. Built in 1403 in the Yongle Period, the area surrounding the temple has been a part of the commercial development resulting in as thriving market and traditional urban centre. The main feature of the temple are the nine halls including Fumu Hall, Fortuna Hall, Cihang Hall, Chenghuang Hall, Niangniang Hall, Guansheng Hall, Wenchang Hall, and Yuanchen Hall. The Grand Hall is the main hall of the temple containing the Eight Immortals of Taoism which are carved into the archway. Visitors can explore these nine halls of the temple and observe the statues, relics and murals of deities here, or witness the artwork and the gift shop in the art arena open to the public.

Yuyuan Garden

Yuyuan Garden is located near the famous Chenghuang Miao and the Chenghuang Temple where there are a variety of shops and restaurants to purchase snacks and souvenirs. Within the park are an array of ponds, trees, flowers, rock structures, pavilions, pagodas and old historical buildings that are all open to the public for exploration. There are walls separating areas of the garden with many bridges to access some of the areas with views of the ponds packed with orange-gold, white, and black koi. Visitors can also see the art gallery situated in the Ting Tao Tower Exhibit where there are two floors of paintings on long scrolls by artists to be observed.

Jin Mao Tower

Jin Mao Tower is the third tallest building in Shanghai in the centre of Lujiazui, Pudong New District. Within the building are modern offices, a deluxe 5 star hotel, exhibition halls, banquet halls, an observation deck, and entertainment facilities. There are two direct elevators operating inside the hotel that can send visitors from the ground floor to the 88th floor in 45 seconds. An annex building that is six stories high is also within the hotel that includes exhibition halls. conference rooms, multi-function halls, grand banquet halls and a recreational centre. The building also offers a skywalk available for visitors to take part in the service “Wander in the Cloud” where you can walk along a 60 metre long glass skywalk; this is located on the 88th sightseeing floor with stunning views of the city and the Huangpu River below.
