Golden Bay Galapagos is located in the capital city of Puerto Baquerizo Moreno in the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador. The hotel is situated on San Cristobal,one of the largest islands of the Galapagos Archipelago, and geographically speaking, one of the oldest. It is the only one possessing fresh water and also one of the oldest human settlements of the islands with a stable population since the second half of the nineteenth century. Named after the beach on its doorstep, guests staying at Golden Bay are frequent witnesses to sea lions, iguanas and other endemic wildlife.

MUYU Story
MUYU is a restaurant bringing the farm, the countryside and the sea all to the table. The name of the restaurant means “seed” in the local Kichwa language. Not only does the name of the restaurant pay tribute to the local culture and citizens but also the menu which uses local and seasonal products all bought from local farmers and fishermen.
All products used at MUYU are found on the island, including fish and shellfish, in order to reduce carbon emissions by avoiding ordering products from the continent.
MUYU is a pioneer project of contemporary cuisine of the Galapagos. The aim is to bring a true Galapagos experience to every plate. Working hand in hand with the Galapagos foundation towards cuisine which is more sustainable and healthier. In addition to this, MUYU changed the lives of many local residents whilst sharing the true flavours of the Galapagos with all their guests.

An free artisan breakfast is on offer every morning that includes marmalades, pastries, naturally fermented bread, seasonal fruits, local farm cheese, our homemade granola, and many other options. Different to the standard continental breakfast offered to tourists.
