Rooms
The resort offers six one-bedroom and three two-bedroom deluxe and superior villas which are nestled into the jungle and designed with a quiet elegance that highlights local arts and crafts. Each individual villa offers privacy while peaking out to the colorful tropical vegetation. Each one features a spacious open air living area with comfortable seating, complete with a hand-made Costa Rican hammock for two, hanging at the dramatic opening to the lush jungle greenery.
The villas are very open air, but the bedrooms will surrender to even the most timid of travelers with first class bedding, temperature control AC or optional fresh air living. The bathrooms are Balinese with open air showers, sunken tubs and gardens. Beautifully decorated with neutrals and blues, the interior design reflects the well known cascading waterfalls of Costa Rica.

After a short drive from Florablanca to the local farm of Manzanillo Village, your three hour tour commences. Accompanied by local guides, you will leisurely ride along the ocean line and over high pastures where you can overlook the dramatic landscapes. The opportunity to see exotic wildlife may present itself, with tropical birds and monkeys often seen. You can select the morning or evening ride, but in order to capture the stunning sunset on the horizon, the evening ride is much preferred by guests.
As one of the world’s fastest growing water sports, the opportunity of learning to Stand Up Paddle Board is almost unmissable. After a short explanation, you will be immediately immersed in the sport, launching from the beach towards the Cabo Blanco Reserve. Accompanied by experienced guides, you can discover a unique view of the Costa Rican coastline from the ocean itself.
Florblanca Resort is privileged enough to be located amongst the lush rainforests, beaches and tropical jungles of Santa Teresa. This makes environmental sustainability all the more important to the staff and guests at Florblanca. In order to preserve this exotic paradise Florblanca have undertaken numerous actions. These include; protecting the local wildlife from harm, aiding any animals that are harmed (if appropriate) and the tagging of trees and plants in order for them to be counted correctly.
Florblanca is committed to ensuring that waste is kept to a minimum. They have instilled practices such as using biodegradable packaging for all amenities and take-away packaging. They are also ensuring paper use it kept to a minimum, by ensuring the majority of communication is done technologically.
Florblanca has implemented a Water Management plan which aims to reduce the daily consumption of water, within two years Florblanca achieved an 8% reduction. Also, wastewater is collected and treated, and where possible reused to water the gardens or in toilet systems. Guests are encouraged to be mindful or their water usage whilst residing at Florblanca and reminded to turn taps off when they’re not in use.
With as much natural light being let in as possible, the need for lightbulbs at Florblanca is minimal. When lightbulbs are needed, these are eco-friendly and energy efficient. Also, heaters in the Laundry Room and Kitchen are powered by solar energy, further reducing electrical consumption.
Children of all ages are permitted to stay at Florblanca.
