Mahé is the largest island in the Seychelles archipelago, in the Indian Ocean off East Africa. The island is also home to Victoria, Seychelles’ capital, known for Creole architecture and a colourful covered market with wares like fish, fruit and clothing.

Carana Beach is situated on one of the most picturesque bays on Mahé, the hotel has been designed to accentuate the wild nature of this stunning location. Each chalet boasts a view from every room spilling out onto breath-taking turquoise waters, all framed by a lush tropical garden and a granite backdrop. Lorizon Restaurant

‘Feast on the view, savour the cuisine.’

Lorizon, meaning ‘horizon’, is what this award-winning restaurant is named after due to its uninterrupted and spectacular ocean panorama seen from its elevated perch. Here you’ll find a menu of refines cuisine for a traditional, elegant dinner. Themed evenings are also occur here through the week such as Creole night and steak night, an option of Table d’Hote (fixed priced meals) menus are also provided. Lorizon boasts inventive dishes with unusual combinations to surprise, delight and challenge each palate.

Tropical Picnic Trot

A slow romantic canter on a horseback trail along Mahé’s Western coastline offers stunning sea views and unforgettable memories, the trail will lead you to a secluded beach for an elegant champagne picnic before sunset.

This Tropical Picnic Trot includes a private chauffeur transfer to and from Turquoise Trails on the West Coast of Mahé, 1x bottle of Moet champagne, tapas and optional guide for horse-riding beginners.

Total horse-riding time (including return): 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Spree & Sparkles Tour of Victoria

A visit to one of the world’s smallest capitals is an essential part of any Seychelles holiday, and this tour serves up the short but colourful history of Victoria, topped off with some insider shopping opportunities and a glass of bubbly while browsing one of the finest jewellery selections in the Indian Ocean.

Available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, this tour includes private chauffeur transfer to and from Victoria, a guided tour of the town’s famous sights and points of interest, with opportunities for souvenir shopping at art galleries, craft shops and the Diamond Works.

Let the true sensations of Seychelles sweep across mind and body with our line-up of soothing treatments using only natural and locally sourced ingredients.With the option of having your treatment in the spa or from the comfort of your own chalet on the deck, you’re guaranteed an unmistakably different spa experience. All of the scrubs, masks and wraps start from a base of cold-pressed virgin coconut oil, produced right here in the Seychelles. We then add a wide range of locally cultivated herbs, spices and extracts for each product: from cinnamon and vanilla to indigenous lemon and eucalyptus. This allows each treatment to be imparted with a unique signature scent native to our islands, complemented by carefully selected pairings of essential oils.

Massage treatments from 30, 60 to 90 minutes are available. Whether its pampering you desire, to being energised or having your muscles relieved, the SENS Spa has got you covered and more.

Wastage and Locality

Carana Beach Hotel, since its opening in 2016, has teamed up with Green Islands Foundation (GIF) to promote sustainable operations. The hotel has put in place an action plan to reduce its waste generated, improve energy use, and to promote the use of local products and partner with local community groups to better protect the environment.

With a consistent focus on freshness and locality, Carana Beach hotel’s food offerings are supplied by an organic farm on Denis Private Island, a neighbouring Seychelles island, this being one of the many sustainable projects that has been deployed over a selection of Seychelles hotels.
