Tempted to paddle your way around paradise? This exciting activity is suitable for the whole family. Kayaking will give you a different perspective of the island and its surrounding flats as you glide through crystal clear waters and soak in all the island has to offer.

Want to explore? Have a cycling tour and discover the magical island that is Alphonse. You’ll be given interesting facts such as who the earliest settlers to Alphonse were, to how the change came about from indigenous forest to coconut plantation. You’ll also learn about the wildlife and plants that call this their home. Each guest receives their own bicycle for the duration of their stay.

Feeling a little sporty? Whether it’s a day-time serve or twilight game, challenge your friends and loved ones to a game of tennis on our tennis court encompassed by palm trees. A little healthy competition washed down with a delicious cocktail or ice-cold beer. Tennis rackets and balls are provided at your request.

Ready for an exciting stand-up challenge? Originating in Hawaii, this fairly new sport has taken the world (and the Seychelles) by storm. Take in the stunning views and enjoy a steady paddle around the island as you take in the scenery.

Fly Fishing and Blue Water Fishing

Fishing for an underwater adventure? The fishing centre arranges both fly fishing and bluewater excursions around Alphonse, Bijoutier, and St. François Islands. With one of the most prolific Bonefisheries in the world and other notable species that can be targeted on the fly, prepare to encounter Giant Trevally, Bluefin Trevally, Indo-Pacific Permit, three different species of triggerfish and Milkfish. Bluewater anglers can look forward to targeting Indo-Pacific Sailfish, Dogtooth and Yellowfin Tuna, Barracuda, Wahoo, and Dorado.

Island Hopping

Want to castaway for the day? Visit the islands of St. François and Bijoutier, the deserted beaches and untouched paradises will amaze you.  On the 40-minute crossing from Alphonse Island, spot amazing sights such as Mangrove Crabs and nursing baby Sicklefin Lemon Sharks. Look out too for Manta Rays, pelagic fish and cetaceans.

Scuba Diving

Keen to dive into the crystal waters? The diving centre offers a range of PADI accredited dive courses as well as recreational dives and snorkelling excursions. Swim above stunning coral reefs, sea whips and alongside our marine life to experience the island in a whole new dimension.

Guided Nature Walks

Fancy a walk and talk?  Conservation is something we hold very close to our hearts here on Alphonse Island. The resident conservation team at the Island Conservation Society (ICS) offers guided and informative nature walks around the island where guests can learn about current research and conservation projects and the fauna and flora of the island.

Unwind at The Azure Spa, offering a refuge to which your mind and body can relax after long, hot days spent diving, exploring the island or just relaxing beside the pool. With our qualified therapists working their magic on tired bodies of those in need of either special attention or those simply just wanting to indulge.

From head and shoulder treatments to full body massages, we are able to tailor treatments to each individual and their wishes. All treatments are designed to leave you feeling pampered and rejuvenated.

The Alphonse Island Resort use locally harvested produce from the surrounding gardens and forests, they also source fresh local fish daily. The chefs work passionately with these harvested goods to produce authentic, creative and delicious meals throughout the day influenced by their Indian Ocean heritage.
