There are 2 luxury villas at Ladera – Villa La Fleur and the Villa at Paradise Ridge. Crafted in Ladera’s signature open-air style with high vaulted ceilings, long verandas and louvered doors, these villas grant unparalleled views of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea.

Villa La Fleur has 2 master bedrooms, open plan dining and lounge area and fully equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms have their own en suite bathroom, private terrace, walk-in closet, cosy sitting area, and a wet bar with a small refrigerator and electric kettle. Outside, you can enjoy views of the sunset horizon from your own private infinity pool that appears to cascade right over the hills and down to the sea.

The Villa at Paradise Ridge is the perfect choice for a romantic stay. Its spacious master bedroom opens out onto the extended veranda, fitted with its own romantic swing bench. The room is complete with an especially large bathroom, mini-bar and coffee maker, and complimentary robes and toiletries. Off to the side you’ll have your private heated swimming pool, placed perfectly for your privacy and peace.

Take your pick from one of Ladera’s uniquely named suites. Each one has their own individual design and quirks but they all offer breath-taking views of the Pitons and Caribbean Sea and luxury befitting the scenery. Suites come with handcrafted four-poster beds, spacious sitting areas, en suite bathrooms, heated plunge pools, stocked mini-bars, and tea and coffee making facilities.

The Suites at Paradise Ridge share the classic Ladera design – open air rooms, terracotta tile floors, tropical woodwork and masonry. The Suites consist of king-size four poster beds, spacious sitting areas, extra-large bathrooms with complimentary toiletries and robes, fully stocked mini-bars, tea and coffee making facilities, and heated swimming pools with romantic swings and stunning views of the Pitons and ocean.

Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, Dasheene serves for every taste and every occasion. Executive Chef Nigel Mitchel and his team use only the finest local ingredients to prepare stylish renditions of traditional dishes such as sweet potato and coconut soup, Caribbean lamb salad, Cajun Creole vegetable bakes and much more.

Explore the nearby areas with one of Ladera’s guided tours. On Saturdays, there are tours of the morning market where you can see the variety of tropical fruits and vegetables that grow on the island, and are followed by a cooking class with Ladera’s own chef.

For nature lovers, you can take a scenic journey into the heart of the island’s Edmund Forest Reserve with your guide, walking among tropical trees and flowers, wildlife and birdlife. You could also take a tour to the historical town Soufrière and explore all the local highlights. From there you can visit the Sulphur Springs at the world’s only drive-in volcano and savour the beauty of the Diamond Falls and Torille Waterfall.

Sailing and boat trips are a great way to enjoy your time in the Caribbean. For a full day or half day, sail to the picturesque Marigot Bay, past the charming fishing villages of Canaries and Anse La Raye. Sit back with a cool drink and go snorkelling in crystal clear waters over the coral reef. Then capture the magic of a Caribbean sunset on a romantic evening cruise with complimentary drinks and hors d’oeurves.

Within St. Lucia’s World Heritage Site is the Tet Paul Nature Trail, an ascent adorned with tropical flowers, fruits and trees. From the peak you’ll have a truly stunning view of the Pitons and the neighbouring islands of Martinique and St. Vincent.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, set yourselves up to watch the two most beautiful ocean mammals gliding and leaping through the waves. Among them you’ll have the chance to see Sperm and Dwarf Sperm whales, Pilot whales, Bottle-nose and Fraser Dolphins.

For a half day you can take a market trip to the island’s capital city, Castries. Shop for local crafts, souvenirs and spices. You can also visit the Desmond Skeete Animation Centre, which includes a small museum. Every Friday the village of Anse La Raye holds an evening street market – join them for plenty of local seafood, drinks and entertainment!

Take a full day of sunshine, shopping and sightseeing in Martinique. Hop aboard the Flying Ray, enjoy a BBQ lunch on board and cool off with a little snorkelling!

Ladera is located within a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Pitons, two mountainous volcanic spires linked by the Piton Mitan ridge. The area encompasses a range of diverse natural habitats, home to a wide array of flora and fauna. Almost 60% of the site’s marine territory is covered with coral reefs and it’s been shown to host 168 species of finfish and 60 species of cnidarian.

The Pitons hold at least 245 species of tree between them, 8 of which are rare species. They are also home to indigenous wildlife including 27 bird species, rodents, bats, reptiles and amphibians. Ladera is committed to preserving this rich biodiversity and regularly participates in community clean-up programmes to ensure it remains undisturbed.

Ladera is as strongly committed to its local community as it is preserving the natural environment. Through their investment training and development, Ladera give special consideration to employing and empowering members of the community.

The Ladera Green Team meet every week to plan local events and projects such as tree planting at a local school, road clean-ups, and donating furniture and appliances to local non-profit organisations. The resort and its team remain constantly active in their community outreach efforts, volunteering and participating in sustainability projects at the resort itself and around the local area.

Ladera’s culinary team source only the finest local ingredients and produce. 70% of food cooked up in the kitchen comes from the island and the resort’s own garden. As well as sourcing locally, Ladera aims to make the most of everything they use. Coconuts are used for their water, meat and shells. Leftover fruit is fed to birds and bread is fed to fish. Other natural waste is composted.

One of Ladera’s top priorities is eliminating plastic waste and single-use plastic water bottles. To help achieve this, they’ve partnered with JUST Water and reduced the resort’s plastic waste by over 80,000 in just one year. JUST Water packages their spring water in recyclable paper cartons made from FSC-certified trees, which are all harvested responsibly, and caps made from sugarcane. Other plastic items, such as straws, toiletries, napkins and cups, have been removed and replaced with reusable eco-friendly alternatives.

The conservation of water and energy are everyday practices at the resort and guests are encouraged to do their bit while they stay. Rainwater is harvested and stored to be used for the landscape irrigation system. Water heating is provided by solar energy, which is beneficial for the environment because it is the most efficient renewable energy source, reduces air pollution in replacing fossil fuels and it doesn’t require water to make energy.

Bulbs have been replaced with LED lights, which are longer lasting and brighter than regular bulbs, meaning you need fewer of them to light a room and do not have to replace them as often, and require less energy to work.
