Location
El Otro Lado is wonderfully placed on Portobelo Bay, situated on a 100 hectare lot. Nestled between the Caribbean crystal clear waters, The Portobelo Natural Park Rainforest and by one of the tree historic forts of the 16th Century, San Fernando Fort, it is an incredible location unlike any other.
Rooms and Facilities
The hotel is made up unique accommodation, which consists of 5 independent houses and 8 unique rooms. These are Forest House, Sea House, Sun House, Spirit House, and Casa Grande which is split up into suites. All of these properties are luxurious and tasetful, and are characterized by luxury, local art, photography and contemporary sculptures. The rooms feature king-size beds with 100% Egyptian Percale cotton Sheets, WI-FI, cable television, mini-bar and an electronic safe.
To enjoy onsite, there is also the restaurant: Gazebo. The Gazebo is the heart of the social and dining experience. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar served throughout the day, in a concept which involves an exterior architectural structure providing a spot protected from sun and rain. At the heart of the retreat is also the spectacular infinity pool for unwinding, sunbathing and soaking up the warmth of the bay. You’ll be waited on at all times by our staff with cocktails and snacks.
