Gong Wang Fu

Visitors can take part in a guided tour of Gong Wang Fu, also known as Prince Gong Mansion, which is an 18th century royal complex with spacious gardens and courtyards. A guide will take you around Gong Wang Fu where you can learn about the history and culture behind the mansion. The living quarters within the three sets of courtyards consists of a central, eastern and western situation with the main, central section comprising of the major hall, a rear hall and an extended pavilion with 40 rooms. Explore the garden surrounded by artificial mountains, known as Jincui Yuan, covering an area of 28 000 square meters with 20 scenic spots to be discovered.

Shichahai Scenic Resort

Visitors can take a trip to Shichahai Scenic Resort which covers Shichahai, Back Lakes, Xi Lakes, and neighbouring areas with the water area covering a total of 336 000 square metres. The water shares the same source with the waters in Zhonganhai and is the only open water area in Beijing being the largest area and best preserved historical site in Beijing City. Experience the site on a Hutong tour with Rickshaw ride to experience Old Beijing style and Hutong culture, explore the royal palaces and former residences of celebrities surrounding Shichahai including Huitong Ancestral Temple, Deshengmen Embrasured Watchtower, Former Residence of Mei Lanfang, Royal Palace of Prince Chun, and many more. Visitors also have the opportunity to ride a sculling boat around the lake or skate on the lakes in winter when the Shichahai Skating Rink opens when the ice is thick enough to go skating on.

Houhai Lake

Houhai Lake is a large lake located near the Forbidden City, originally constructed during the Yuan Dynasty, and now has an array of shops, bars, and restaurants for visitors to explore. Take a stroll around the scenic lake under the willow trees, ride a boat across the lake or experience the nightlife as the area comes alive with many bars, cafes, and restaurants for visitors to enjoy with many types of food and beverages to choose from. There are also many traditional Chinese alleyways open for exploration where visitors can see the local life and discover the former homes of famous Chinese officials and celebrities who used to live there including Prince Gong, Prince Chun, Guo Morou and Soong Ching-ling.

Nanluoguxiang

Nanluoguxiang is a famous Hutong district within Beijing which is an old style alleyway with a large number of one-story courtyard houses that are protected to preserve their unique architecture. There are many different places within this district offering western food like pizza and coffee for the enjoyment of visitors with Chinese, Russian, Italian, and Indian delicacies also available. Discover the abundant of shops with unique gifts available to purchase like plates, coasters, bottles, enamel cups and a selection of ornaments displaying Chairman Mao’s image. Nanluoguxiang is the third most popular bar street in Beijing with a number of bars for you to explore which can be done by bar hopping at night or shop for souvenirs in the hundreds of souvenir boutique shops that sell traditional handicrafts and souvenirs.
