Brandberg Mountain covers an astonishing 650 kilometres², and reaches a staggering height of 8,442ft making it the highest mountain in Namibia. The isolated mountain is surrounded by vast stretches of sandy plains which are home to many different species of aloe plant and the odd clump of luscious green trees along winding river banks. The Brandberg Mountain is said to glow in the setting sun, and is a place of spiritual significance to the San bushmen, with ancient rock paintings which are thousands of years old and which can be visited by travellers. A complimentary airport shuttle will be arranged by the hotel for guests.

The climate of the area of Uis is stable throughout the year. There is little chance of rain during any month, and the temperatures stay roughly the same month in month out. The warmest time to visit is generally agreed to be January, February, March and April where temperatures reach an average high of 29°C.
The standard rooms at Uis Elephant Guesthouse are all modern and stylish, with an exposed industrial theme running throughout, in a raw wooden headboard, corrugated room dividers, and exposed brick and piping. The room comes complete with twin beds covered in crisp white bed linen, and which are swathed in mosquito netting so guests can have a bug free nights sleep. Through the feature corrugated room dividers guests will find an ensuite bathroom, which comes complete with a handbasin, flush toilet and walk in shower.
The luxury rooms all come with twin beds covered in crisp bed linen and room for an extra single bed to be added. These rooms are more spacious than the standard rooms, however are decorated in the same modern and stylish industrial theme. Wide doors open up onto a patio area, and natural light floods the room through these doors. AC is included in this room, keeping the guests cool and an ensuite comes complete with flush toilet, washbasin, and walk in shower, through corrugated room dividers.
Also on offer at Uis Elephant Guesthouse are 3 suites. These are all double storey and include a lounge area and bathroom on the bottom floor, and a bedroom on the top floor. The lounge comes complete with a leather sofa, and is located next to a small tea and coffee station, which comes complete with a mini fridge. Upstairs, the bedroom consists of twin beds, pushed together to form a double, which are covered in white bed linen and romantically draped in mosquito netting.
Throughout this suite the interior style is modern and industrial, with exposed pipes along the walls, wooden cupboards and stairs, metal railings, and an ensuite bathroom which includes a washbasin, toilet and shower, through corrugated metal room dividers.
Meals are served in the stylish and modern restaurant. Guests can make their way here for breakfast, lunch and dinner and can enjoy food which is delicious, created by talented chefs. Dinner can be enjoyed indoors or outdoors, on the patio area, which is lit by candlelight in the evenings.
Set out after breakfast and spend the day travelling to the Brandberg Mountain. Enjoy searching for the desert-adapted elephants and swimming in the pools at the foot of the mountain. Hiking can be booked 4 weeks in advance for guests who wish to take part in a challenging but rewarding overnight hike up the Brandberg Mountain.
In the afternoon, head out on a drive to a scenic sunset spot where you can relax and enjoy a drink whilst watching the golden sun disappear over the horizon.
Head out on an excursion to try and find some of the magnificent desert adapted elephants. Explore riverbeds and the sandy plains to see if you can spot any herds of these amazing animals.
