Sultan's Palace

A short distance from the hotel, guests can travel to the Sultan Palace, a traditional palace of Yogyakarta’s King, situated in the centre of Yogyakarta City. The king and his family live in the palace which is a main direction of cultural development of Java and is open daily for visitors to see the palace and the Javanese cultures.

Tamansari Water Castle

Tamansari Water Castle was known as the garden for the Sultan of Yogyakarta and was originally built for mulitple purposes but now only several buildings remain. People would use this palace as a place for rest, meditate, work, hide and defend the Sultan’s family but now some of the buildings have become homes for local residents and tourists can only explore the mosque, resting and bathing space, and underground tunnels.

Museum Sonobudoyo

Located in the city centre, Sonobudoyo Museum is a joglo house with the architecture of the Cirebon tenth palace mosque and is closely related to a foundation during the Colonial Java Institute in the fields of Javanese. The aim of the museum is to create a superior and competitive museum as a cultural resource, realising the role of the museum as a preserver of cultural heritage and the role and strategic value of the museum as the main attraction of DIY tourism. Here guests can observe exhibitions, complete collections of Javanese artefacts and ceramics of the Neolithic era.
