Wenshu Monastery is the best preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu and is the home of the Buddhist Association of Sichuan Province and Chengdu City. Visitors can observe the cultural relics stored at the monastery as over 500 pieces of paintings and calligraphy have been held here since the Tang and Song dynasties. There is also an exquisite garden and solemn halls that can be explored or visitors can relax in the Tea House, listening to music by folk artists whilst enjoying a refreshing cup of tea.

Waste is recycled at the resort, plastic is reduced by using reusable water bottles and offering drinks without the use of a plastic straw and there is a policy for reusing sheets and towels if guests wish to do so as this saves on the amount of water used. The resort also takes part in energy conservation by reminding guests to turn off lights and electrical equipment in rooms when not in use as this saves energy.
The resort is committed to preserve nature in the surrounding environment and encourages people to help as much as they can as even the smallest act can have a large positive impact. There are paths in national parks and nature reserves that protect the environment when used by visitors as this avoids disturbing animals and prevents natural habitats from being damaged.
