Opened in 2008 and renovated in 2015, the Buddha Zen hotel immerses guests in a thoroughly Buddhist environment. This Chengdu hotel is conveniently located next to Tianfu Plaza and Chunxi Road and is very close to the Wenshu Monastery. Located in Qingyang District, near Wenshu Monastery, Buddha Zen Hotel is a 10-minute drive from Hongxing Road and the North Railway Station. Pandas and Mountains

Take part in a tour to explore Sichuan and Yunnan where you will have the opportunity to visit the Chengdu Panda Research Base to see the giant pandas, see the sacred Giant Buddha of Leshan and ascend the Emei Mountain. You will also have the chance to meet the diverse ethnic minorities of Yunnan Province, explore the old towns of Dali and Lijiang and venture to Shangri-La to see the breath taking scenery and the Tibetan culture.

Magnificent China

This tour takes you to the Forbidden City, the Great Wall at Jinshanling Pass and Terracotta Warriors. A guide will take you to the countryside in Yangshuo, Longji and Zhongdian to explore the stunning scenery that surrounds you as well as learning about Naxi faith and Tibetan culture in Yunnan. You will have the opportunity to see giant pandas at the Chengdu Panda Research Base and taste the delicious street food of Xian’s Muslim Quarter. The price of this tour includes in-destination transfers, activities and excursions as detailed, and all accommodations.

Wenshu Monastery

Wenshu Monastery is the best preserved Buddhist temple in Chengdu and is the home of the Buddhist Association of Sichuan Province and Chengdu City. Visitors can observe the cultural relics stored at the monastery as over 500 pieces of paintings and calligraphy have been held here since the Tang and Song dynasties. There is also an exquisite garden and solemn halls that can be explored or visitors can relax in the Tea House, listening to music by folk artists whilst enjoying a refreshing cup of tea.

Handmade crafts and locally produced souvenirs are available to purchase during a visit to the resort as this helps to support the community initiatives.

Sustainable Travel

Naya Ganawa Resort is conscious of sustainable travel and does what it can to provide this. Waste is recycled at the resort, plastic is reduced by using reusable water bottles and offering drinks without the use of a plastic straw and there is a policy for reusing sheets and towels if guests wish to do so as this saves on the amount of water used. The resort also takes part in energy conservation by reminding guests to turn off lights and electrical equipment in rooms when not in use as this saves energy.

Protecting the Environment

The resort is committed to preserve nature in the surrounding environment and encourages people to help as much as they can as even the smallest act can have a large positive impact. There are paths in national parks and nature reserves that protect the environment when used by visitors as this avoids disturbing animals and prevents natural habitats from being damaged.
